I hate watering plants inside because it is impossible to catch all of the drips and spills, so it has become a routine for me this summer to take every single one of my plants to the patio or greenhouse to water them. It sounds like a lot of work, but it gives me a chance to give them a good watering, pull of dead leaves, or even re-pot them without making a mess in the house. And then I can wipe the spot where they live in the house. Plus, it makes my greenhouse feel perfectly dreamy.
My babies love hanging out with me in the greenhouse. The lighting in there is so perfect, it was easy to take these sweet pictures of them. Emmett is at the age where all he needs is good company and lots to look at to be happy. I brought his moses basket with me and set him on the table right along with the plants.
Samuel is a little bit harder to keep entertained these days. He loves to "help" me with whatever I am doing, so it is nice when I am doing something that he can be involved with. Watering plants is right up his alley!
He worked hard, clearly! When I look at pictures like these, I can't even get over how big he is getting. He is such a little man, and loves to feel like he is involved in whatever is going on. He babbles away constantly, and is always telling me long and involved stories. "Mama" and "Daddy" are the only real words in his vocabulary, but he communicates nonetheless! More often than not, the thing that he is trying to tell me is that he is hungry.
It turned out to be the perfect Monday morning. For me, there is something inspiring about tending to plants, and I decided to snap a picture of a few plants lined up next to an old barn board, which became the logo that you see when you visit the blog. What do you all think of it?
I have some other posts in the works, and a fun DIY from our morning in the greenhouse, but I wanted to go ahead and share these pictures. The feedback since I started the blog has been so encouraging, thank you all for reading along! Please feel free to pin or share anything that strikes your fancy ;)
Until next time!
